Cooling System - Maintenance Interval Reminder

SUBJECT: COOLING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
MODELS: ALL 405 AND 505 VEHICLES
We would like to remind you that the 405 and 505 V6 Maintenance Schedule includes "Draining/Flushing and Refilling the Cooling System" every two (2) years or at 30,000 mile intervals. This procedure is also strongly recommended on all other 505 models.
Failure to follow this simple recommended maintenance service will lead to deterioration of the antifreeze solution. This deterioration can cause internal engine damage and can create cooling system related problems (overheating) under extreme operating conditions.
When refilling the cooling system, use a 50/50% mixture of water and Peugeot antifreeze, P/N 0097.29, which will protect to -35~C (-31~F).
Always follow the recommended cooling system bleeding procedure in the Workshop-Manuals and Service Bulletin No. 284, Class 1, for N9T, N9TE, and N9TEA engines.
For only those vehicles which are eligible for the Complimentary Maintenance Program during the 30,000 mile Maintenance Service, PMA has included the recommended antifreeze replacement in the Parts/ Lubricants credit allowance.
