Heater Core: Service and Repair

Fig. 2 Heater Core Removal:

1. Drain cooling system and remove glove compartment.
2. Remove steering column cover and lower dashboard trim panel.
3. Disconnect heater valve cable.
4. Clamp shut and disconnect heater hoses.
5. Remove heater core securing bolt, Fig. 2 and heater core.
6. Reverse procedure to install. When filling cooling system, open heater valve by setting control lever to red dot.
