1983 MODELS
1. Remove carburetor from engine.
2. Remove throttle body from carburetor and mount in suitable holding fixture.
3. Drill a 5/64 inch pilot hole at a 45° angle into casting toward concealment plugs, Fig. 11, then redrill hole to 1/8 inch.
4. Repeat step 3 on opposite side.
5. Insert a blunt punch into holes and drive out plugs.
6. Reassemble carburetor and install on engine using new gasket.
