Oil Pump: Service and Repair

Fig. 17 Crankshaft Oil Deflector & Oil Pump Removal:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove oil pan.
3. Remove oil pump bolt, Fig. 17.
4. Remove pump and drive shaft extension.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Clean and inspect oil pump for wear or damage and replace if required.
