Fuel Gage
A potentiometer built into the Fuel Sender causes the current through CKT 30 and the Fuel Gage to vary with fuel level. The resistance of the potentiometer is approximately 88 ohms when the Fuel Tank is full. As the fuel level decreases, the resistance of the potentiometer decreases. The resulting increase of current through CKT 30 causes the Fuel Gage to indicate a lower fuel level. At empty the resistance of the potentiometer is approximately 1.0 ohm and the Fuel Gage will read near empty.
