Rear Hub and Bearing

REAR HUB/BEARING

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheel assembly and brake drum. Do not hammer on brake drums as damage to the bearing could result.
3. Disconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove hub and bearing assembly from axle. The bolts that attach hub and bearing assembly also support brake assembly. Before removing these bolts, support brake assembly with a wire. Do not let brake line support brake assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install, torque bolts to specification. Refer to Steering and Suspension / Specifications / Mechanical / Tightening Specifications. Mechanical Specifications
