Remote Activation Verification System Operation

RKE Transmitter:

To customize the Remote Activation Verification features, pull the Body Control Module (BCM) PRGRM Fuse from the fuse panel and then turn the ignition Switch to "ACCESSORY." The seat belt telltale flashes and the chime sounds 2-4 times to indicate that the vehicle is in a feature customization mode. Each time the "LOCK" button is pressed on the RKE Transmitter, the seat belt telltale flashes and the chime sounds a number of times equal to the current customization mode number as shown below:
1. Mode 1:
- Remote lock and unlock confirmation are disabled.
2. Mode 2:
- Remote Lock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to lock the vehicle, the Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when the command is received.
- Remote Unlock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to unlock the vehicle, the Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when the command is received.
3. Mode 3:
- Remote Lock Conformation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to lock the vehicle, the Horn will sound briefly and the Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when the command is received.
- Remote Unlock Conformation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to unlock the vehicle, the Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when the command is received.
4. Mode 4:
- Remote Lock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to lock the vehicle, the Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when the command is received. The Horn will sound briefly and the Park Lamps will flash briefly if you press the "LOCK" button again within five seconds.
- Remote Unlock Confirmation: When you use the RKE Transmitter to unlock the vehicle, the Park Lamps will flash briefly to let you know when the command is received.

Each time the "LOCK" button is pressed on the RKE Transmitter the mode number will advance. A transition past mode 4 will repeat starting again at mode 1. To exit and save the current customization, turn the Ignition Switch out of "ACCESSORY" and replace the BCM PRGRM Fuse back into the fuse panel. If you desire to customize other features, customize them before reinstalling the BCM PRGRM Fuse into the fuse panel.
