with Keyless Entry (RPO AUO)
This bulletin is being issued to revise various information found in Sections 8A-132 and 9K of the Service Manual as follows:
^ Before performing the System Check table on page 8A-132-3, make sure the remote driver's door unlock control mode is set on mode 2. Refer to Remote Driver's Door Unlock Control Mode on page 8A-132-8 for details. Restore the remote driver's door unlock control mode back to the original customization preference after completing repairs.
^ Revised Step 4 on Chart # 1: Keyless Entry System, Receiver, or Transmitter is Inoperative (page 8A-132-4).
Replace the action on Step 4 with the following:
1. Exit BCM diagnostics. Refer to Cell 51 Circuit
Operation: Exiting Diagnostics.
2. Resynchronize the transmitter by holding the UNLOCK and LOCK buttons down simultaneously on the transmitter for seven seconds.
3. Press UNLOCK, then LOCK buttons on the transmitter while observing the operation of the power door locks.
Does the transmitter operate the door locks on the vehicle?
^ Additional information related to the Circuit Description on page 8A-132-6 when identifying the BCM type installed on the vehicle:
- BCM type 2 is for vehicles NOT equipped with Keyless Entry.
- BCM type 3 is for vehicles equipped with Keyless Entry (RPO AU0). Note that BCM type 3 is NOT used on vehicles equipped with Content Theft (UA6).
- BCM type 4 is for vehicles equipped with both Keyless Entry (RPO AU0) and Content Theft (UA6).
Refer to the Service Parts Identification Label and the RPO Code list in General Information (Section OA) of the Service Manual for details.
^ Use the BCM PRGRM fuse instead of the MALL PGM fuse when performing the Programming Transmitters procedure (Steps 1 and 7) on page 8A-132-8.
^ Use the BCM PRGRM fuse instead of the MALL PGM fuse when performing the following procedures found in Section 9K - Keyless Entry:
- Transmitter Programming
- Remote Activation Verification (RAV)
