Troubleshooting Hints
1. Check the RADIO Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 640 for a short to ground.2. Check the IGN 1 Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 39 for a short to ground.
3. Check the PARK I/P Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 1340 for a short to ground.
4. Check the CTSY LAMP Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 240 for a short to ground.
5. Check the MALL/RADIO/DIC Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 43 for a short to ground.
6. Check the Body Control Module (BCM) PRGRM Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 1445 for a short to ground.
7. Check the HORN Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check the Underhood Electrical Center for a short to ground.
8. Check the PWR LOCK Fuse for an open. If the fuse is blown check CKT 1540 for a short to ground.
9. Check that G101, G102, G200, G302, and G401 are clean and tight.
10. If the Content Theft Deterrent/Shock Sensor Control Modes are not functioning properly, set the mode the customer wants and test its function. If it is inoperative refer to the Symptom Table for appropriate diagnostic procedure.
11. If the Content Theft Deterrent Arming and Disarming Modes are not functioning properly, set the mode the customer wants and test its function. If it is inoperative refer to the Symptom Table for appropriate diagnostic procedure.
12. Check for proper function of the doors. If they are not functioning normally refer to Automatic Door Locks. Power Locks
13. Check for proper function of the Keyless Entry System. If it is not functioning normally refer to Keyless Entry. Keyless Entry
14. Check for proper function of the Horn. If it is not functioning normally refer to Horns. Testing and Inspection
15. Check for proper function of the Park Lamps. If they are not functioning normally refer to Exterior Lights. Testing and Inspection
16. Check for proper function of the Power Sliding Door. If it is not functioning normally refer to Power Sliding Door.
17. Always check terminal contact before replacing any component.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
