Body Control Module (BCM) Features
REMINDER/WARNING FUNCTIONS1. Headlight Reminder - An audible warning intended to remind the driver that the Headlights may have been inadvertently left on.
2. Key In Reminder - An audible Warning intended to remind the driver that the keys may have been inadvertently left in the vehicle.
3. Overspeed Warning - Required for vehicles intended for export to gulf states. An audible warning intended to remind the driver that the vehicle is travelling faster than a certain threshold speed.
4. Seat Belt Reminder - An audible warning intended to remind the driver that the driver seat belt may have been inadvertently not buckled.
5. Seat Belt Telltale Control - A visual warning intended to remind the driver that the driver seat belt may have been inadvertently not buckled.
6. Turn Signal Reminder - An audible warning intended to remind the driver that a turn signal may have been inadvertently left on.
ILLUMINATION FUNCTIONS
1. Control Interior Illumination - Control of the Interior Lamps based on the status of the Front Door Locks, the Liftgate Door Lock, the Rear Door Jamb Switches, and the Headlamp and I/P Lamp Dimmer Switch.
2. Delayed Illumination - A convenience feature intended to aid the driver by leaving the Interior Lamps on for a period of time after all doors have been closed.
3. Exit Lighting - A convenience feature intended to aid the driver in exiting the vehicle by turning on the Interior Lamps for a period of time after the key has been removed from the ignition.
4. Illumination on Door Lock Cylinder Switch Unlock - A convenience feature intended to turn on the Interior Lamps for a period of time when the driver unlocks the doors using the Door Lock Cylinder Switch.
5. Illumination on Remote Activation - A convenience feature intended to turn on the Interior Lamps for a period of time when the driver activates certain remote functions.
6. Illumination Dim to Off - Allows the Interior Lamps to be smoothly changed from full brightness to off at the end of certain illumination features.
7. Inadvertent Power Control - Overhead and Convenience Lamps are turned off in the event that they may have been inadvertently left on.
LOCKING FUNCTIONS
1. All Door Unlock - All doors are unlocked when the driver presses "UNLOCK" on either Door Lock Switch.
2. All Door Lock - All doors are locked when the driver presses "LOCK" on either Door Lock Switch.
3. Door Lock Cylinder Switch Unlock Function - All doors can be unlocked from any Door Lock Cylinder Switch if rotated and held in the "UNLOCK" position for greater than 1 second.
4. Door Lock Cylinder Switch Lock Function - All doors are locked when any Door Lock Cylinder Switch is rotated to the LOCK position.
5. Last Door Closed Locking - A convenience feature intended to allow easy locking of the doors on exit by allowing door locking to occur after all doors have been closed for a period of time.
6. Lockout Prevention - Power Door Locking is prevented while the keys are in the ignition and the driver's door is open.
7. Lockout Prevention Override Lockout prevention can be overridden by pressing and holding the "LOCK" button down on either Door Lock Switch for greater than 3 seconds.
8. Remote Driver Door Unlock - The driver door is unlocked when the driver presses the "UNLOCK" button on the RKE Transmitter.
9. Remote All Door Unlock - All doors are unlocked when the driver presses the "UNLOCK" button two or more times on the RKE Transmitter.
10. Remote All Door Lock - All doors are locked when the driver presses the "LOCK" button on the RKE Transmitter.
11. Ignition Off Unlock All doors are unlocked when the driver turns the Ignition Switch to the "LOCK" position.
12. Shift into Park Unlock - All doors are unlocked when the driver shifts the transmission into "PARK."
13. Shift out of Park Lock - All doors are locked when the driver shifts the transmission out of "PARK."
14. Sliding Door Delayed Locking - This feature is intended to allow for the locking of the sliding door when a door locking operation has occurred while the sliding door is open. All doors are locked after the sliding door is closed unless an unlocking operation occurs or a lockout prevention condition exists.
CONTENT THEFT DETERRENT FUNCTIONS
1. Content Theft Deterrent - Activation of the vehicle Horn and Park Lamps will occur when any door is opened while the Content Theft System is armed. Activation of the vehicle Horn and Park Lamps will also occur when the vehicle is impacted while the Theft System is armed. A Security Indicator Lamp will flash continuously while the Content Theft Deterrent System is armed.
2. Fuel Enable Control - A fuel enable signal to the vehicle Powertrain Control Module will only be provided while the Content Theft Deterrent System is disarmed.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
1. Remote Activation Verification - This feature provides the driver with feedback when a valid remote command has been received by the vehicle.
2. Remote Alarm - This feature provides for the activation of the vehicle Horn and Park Lamps when the driver presses the "ALARM" button on the RKE Transmitter.
3. Feature Customization - Customization of the operation of certain features based on customer preference.
