Automatic Door Lock Operation Modes
To customize the Automatic Door Lock features pull the Body Control Module (BCM) PRGRM Fuse from the fuse panel and then turn the vehicle to "ACCESSORY." The seat belt telltale flashes and the chime sounds 2.4 times to indicate that the vehicle is in a feature customization mode. Each time either Door Lock Switch is pressed to "LOCK," the seat belt telltale flashes and the chime sounds a number of times equal to the current customization mode number as shown below:1. Mode 1: Automatic door locking and unlocking are disabled. You will always need to lock the doors manually while driving to increase occupant safety.
2. Mode 2:
- Automatic Door Unlocking: Off.
- Automatic Door Locking: Shift out of "PARK" with the Ignition Switch in the "RUN" position and the driver's door closed, all doors will lock automatically.
3. Mode 3:
- Automatic Door Unlocking: Turn the Ignition Switch to the "LOCK" position with the Transaxle in PARK and all doors will unlock automatically.
- Automatic Door Locking: Shift out of "PARK" with the Ignition Switch in the "RUN" position and the driver's door closed, all doors will lock automatically.
4. Mode 4:
- Automatic Door Unlocking: Shift into "PARK" with the Ignition Switch in the "RUN" position and all doors will unlock automatically.
- Automatic Door Locking: Shift out of "PARK" with the Ignition Switch in the "RUN" position and the driver's door closed, all doors will lock automatically. Each time either Door Lock Switch is pressed the mode number will advance. A transition past mode 4 will repeat starting again at mode 1. To exit and save the current customization, take the vehicle out of "ACCESSORY" and replace the BCM PRGRM Fuse back into the fuse panel. If you desire to customize other features, customize them before reinstalling the BCM PRGRM Fuse into the fuse panel.
