Last Door Closed Locking

The Last Door Closed Locking function is designed to allow the doors to be locked after passengers have exited the vehicle. The Last Door Closed Locking function is initiated whenever either Door Lock Switch is pressed to "LOCK" while any door is open and the Ignition Switch is turned to the "LOCK" position. The Last Door Closed Locking function can also be initiated by pressing the "LOCK" button on the RKE Transmitter. Last Door Closed Locking initiation is indicated by 3 chimes to provide feedback. Once Last Door Closed Locking is initiated, all doors will be locked 5 seconds after the last door is closed. The Last Door Closed Locking function is canceled if the Ignition Switch is turned to the "RUN" or "ACCESSORY" position, or by any unlocking operation. The Last Door Closed Locking function will not occur if the conditions for Lockout Prevention are present. The Last Door Closed Locking feature can be overridden by another lock operation resulting in the immediate locking of all doors. Note that the Last Door Closed Locking feature can be disabled through Feature Customization.
