Last Door Closed Locking and Lockout Deterrent Modes
To customize the Locking Control features, pull the Body Control Module (BCM) PRGRM Fuse from the fuse panel and then turn the vehicle to "ACCESSORY." The seat belt telltale flashes and the chime sounds 2-4 times to indicate that the vehicle is in a feature customization mode. Each time either Door Lock Switch is pressed to the "UNLOCK" position, the seat belt telltale flashes and the chime sounds a number of times equal to the current customization mode number as shown below:1. Mode 1: Doors will always lock immediately when you press "LOCK" on the Door Lock Switch or the RKE Transmitter, if equipped.
2. Mode 2: If you leave the key in the ignition with the drivers door open, you will not be able to lock the doors using the Door Lock Switches.
3. Mode 3: If the Door Lock Switches or the RKE Transmitter (if equipped) is used to lock the vehicle while any door or the liftgate is open, you will hear three chimes. The doors will not lock. Five seconds after the last door is closed, all the doors and liftgate will lock.
4. Mode 4: This combines modes 2 and 3.
Each time either Door Lock Switch is pressed to the "UNLOCK" position the mode number will advance. A transition past mode 4 will repeat starting again at mode 1. To exit and save the current customization, take the vehicle out of "ACCESSORY" and replace the BCM PRGRM Fuse back into the fuse panel. If you desire to customize other features, customize them before reinstalling the BCM PRGRM Fuse into the fuse panel.
