Locking Functions
The Body Control Module (BCM) has the following locking functions:1. All Door Unlock All doors are unlocked when the driver presses "UNLOCK" on either Door Lock Switch.
2. All Door Lock All doors are locked when the driver presses "LOCK" on either Door Lock Switch.
3. Door Lock Cylinder Switch Unlock Function - All doors can be unlocked from any Door Lock Cylinder Switch if rotated and held in the "UNLOCK" position for greater than 1 second.
4. Door Lock Cylinder Switch Lock Function - All doors can be locked from any Door Lock Cylinder Switch if rotated to the "LOCK" position.
5. Last Door Closed Locking - A convenience feature intended to allow easy locking of the doors on exit by allowing door locking to occur after all doors have been closed for a period of time.
6. Lockout Prevention - Power Door Locking is prevented while the keys are in the ignition and the driver's door is open.
7. Lockout Prevention Override - Lockout prevention can be overridden by pressing and holding the "LOCK" button down on either Door Lock Switch for greater than 3 seconds.
8. Ignition Off Unlock - All doors are unlocked when the driver turns the ignition to "LOCK" only if the vehicle is in the "PARK" position.
9. Shift into Park Unlock - All doors are unlocked when the driver shifts the transmission into "PARK."
10. Shift out of Park Lock - All doors are locked when the driver shifts the transmission out of "PARK" only if the driver's door is closed.
11. Sliding Door Delayed Locking - This feature is intended to allow for the locking of the sliding door when a door locking operation has occurred while the sliding door is open. All doors are locked after the sliding door is closed unless an unlocking operation occurs or a lockout prevention condition exists.
