Auxiliary Heater

NOTICE: The refrigeration system on this vehicle uses R-134a which is not compatible with refrigerant R-12. Before servicing the system, always make sure the proper servicing equipment is used, or the system could become severely damaged. Always refer to the service text and manufacturer instructions included with service equipment before proceeding.

Side Window Defogging

In all modes but "OFF" and "UPPER," air is supplied to the side window defogger outlets located at both ends of the instrument panel.

Auxiliary Heater (C36)

An auxiliary heating option (including a separate blower module housing a heater core and blower motor) is available for vehicles sold in Canada and is standard equipment on all Canadian vehicles with third-row seating. The auxiliary heater provides an increased level of comfort for passengers in the rear of the vehicle. Major components of the auxiliary heating system include:

^ Additional underhood heater hoses/pipes.
^ Auxiliary heater water shutoff valve.
^ Front-to-rear heater hoses/pipes.
^ Rear fan-master control.
^ Rear fan-temperature control.
^ Heater A/C module-consisting of the blower motor, blower motor resistor, rear temperature valve electric actuator, heater hoses (inlet/outlet) and a heater core.
