Battery Replacement




Battery Insulator:




NOTE: Always turn the ignition "OFF" when connecting or disconnecting battery cables, battery chargers or jumper cables. Failure to do so may damage the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or other electronic components.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Nut from accessory wiring junction block.
2. Accessory wiring junction block from diagonal cross brace.
3. Diagonal cross brace.
4. Battery ground (negative) cable from battery.
5. Battery (positive) cable from battery.
6. Battery hold down retainer.
7. Battery.
8. Battery insulator from battery.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Battery insulator to new battery.
2. Battery. Ensure that battery is positioned under front lip of battery tray.
3. Battery hold down retainer.
4. Battery (positive) cable to battery.
Tighten
^ Bolt/screw to 16 N.m (12 lb. ft.).
5. Battery ground (negative) cable to battery.
6. Diagonal cross brace.
7. Accessory wiring junction block to diagonal cross brace.
8. Nut to accessory wiring junction block.
