The body side door hinge is attached to the "A" pillar with fasteners (two 13 mm hex head bolts, one 10 mm hex head bolt). See Figure 1. If adjustment of the hinge is required, all fasteners must be loosened.
Important:
When loosening the 10 mm hex head bolt, it is very important that it not be completely loosened or removed. If it is removed, a cone attached to the back side of the hinge may fall off and end up in the bottom of the "A" pillar. This cone is used for assembly purposes only and need not be removed when adjusting or removing the door hinge strap. See Figure 2.
