FM STEREO
FM (Frequency Modulated) stereo will deliver the best sound. FM signals will reach approximately 16 to 65 km (10 to 40 mi). Tall buildings or hills may interfere with FM signals, causing the sound to fade and vary. If the reception becomes unacceptable, tune the radio to a different station in order to improve the quality of the reception. All factory-equipped sound systems with a FM stereo radio will switch to stereo operation whenever a FM stereo broadcast is being received, and a STEREO or ST indicator will light on the display. Stereo operation means the radio is separating a stereo broadcast back into the original left and right channels.
