System Components

The remote control door lock transmitter is a hand-held device that is powered by a 3.0 Volt lithium battery. Data is transmitted on an RF carrier frequency at 315 MHz. Up to 4 transmitter buttons control the functions of the system:
- LOCK (upper left)
- UNLOCK (upper right)
- Power sliding door (lower right)
- Alarm, if equipped with option code UA6 (lower left)

The operating range of the transmitter is 1-9 meters (3-29 ft). At times, you may notice a decrease in range. This is normal for any remote control door lock system. If the transmitter does not operate correctly or if you have to stand closer to the vehicle for the transmitter to operate, perform the following steps:
- Inspect to determine if battery replacement is needed.
- Inspect the distance.
You may be too far from the vehicle. In rainy or snowy weather, you may need to stand closer to the vehicle.
- Inspect the location.

Other vehicles or objects may be blocking the signal. Take a few steps to the left or the right or hold the transmitter higher.
