Delayed Illumination
The BCM grounds circuit 690 for 22-28 seconds, turning on the interior courtesy lights, when the following conditions are met:- The delay illumination is enabled (interior lighting mode 2 or 4). Refer to Interior Lighting Modes for more information. Interior Lighting Modes
- The ignition switch is in the LOCK or OFF position.
- The I/P dimmer switch is off.
- The interior lamps override switch is on (interior courtesy lights enabled).
- When closing all vehicle doors (the BCM detects a transition from a ground signal to open circuit in circuit 49, 54, or 159.)
The delayed illumination feature is canceled when any of these conditions is met:
- Turning the ignition switch to the ACC or RUN position.
- Locking the doors when using either a power door lock switch.
- Locking the doors using the LF, RF or liftgate door key lock cylinder (BCM type 4 only).
- Locking the doors using a keyless entry transmitter (BCM types 3 and 4 only).
