Section 9J - SIR - Revised Fastener Tightening Specification for Side Impact Sensor (SIS)

This bulletin is being issued to revise the fastener tightening specification (Side Impact Sensor - SIS) in Section 9J of the Service Manual.

Step 3 in the "Installation Procedure" should be changed as follows:

3. Install the fasteners to the inflatable restraint Side Impact Sensor.

Tighten
Use only hand tools to tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in.). Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





The "Fastener Tightening Specifications" table should also be changed as shown:
