Brace Replacement - Front Fender Upper Diagonal - Left

Removal Procedure





1. Open and support the hood.
2. Remove the windshield wiper system module cover. Refer to Wiper Module Cover Replacement in Wipers Washer/Systems.
3. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir on the left front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.
4. Remove the cruise control module on the left front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Cruise Control Module Replacement in Cruise Control.
5. Remove the bolt from the rear hole in the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the wheelhouse.
6. Remove the bolts from the front of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the upper tie bar.
7. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace from the engine compartment.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the engine compartment.
2. Align the rear hole of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the hole in the wheelhouse.
3. Align the holes of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace to the holes in the upper tie bar.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the bolts to the front of the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the upper tie bar.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Install the bolt to the rear hole in the front end sheet metal diagonal brace at the wheelhouse.

Tighten the bolt to 47 N.m (34 lb ft).

6. Install the windshield wiper system module cover. Refer to Wiper Module Cover Replacement in Wipers Washer Systems.
7. Install the coolant recovery reservoir on the left front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.
8. Install the cruise control module on the left front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Cruise Control Module Replacement in Cruise Control.
9. Close the hood.
