Recliner Cable Handle Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear (Seat Replacement - Rear) .




2. Remove the trim covers from each of the recliners.




3. Remove the latch handle screws from the rear of the bench seat back.




4. Unclasp the J-hooks from the upper seat back and lift the cover to expose the recliner cables.




5. Disconnect the cables from each recliner and guide the cables through the seat back.
6. Remove the cables from the bench seat.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the new recliner cables with the rear of the seat.
2. Attach the cables to each of the seat back recliners.




3. Install the upper seat pad with the J-hooks.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the latch handle screws to the rear of the seat.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the trim covers to each seat back recliner.




6. Inspect the seat back latch for proper cable operation.
7. Install the rear seat to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear (Seat Replacement - Rear) .
