79. Valve Lifter Installation

Valve Lifter Installation





1. Coat the valve lifters using prelude GM P/N 12345501 (Canadian P/N 992704) or the equivalent.
2. Install the valve lifters in their original locations.
3. Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382, (Canadaian 10953489) or the equivalent to the threads.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the valve lifter guides and guide bolts.
Tighten the valve lifter guide bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
