19. Remove the lower radiator hose.
20. Disconnect the upper transmission oil cooler hose from the radiator.
21. Remove the compressor.
22. If replacing the compressor, balance the compressor oil.
Important: Replacement compressors are partially precharged with PAG oil. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the compressor.
2. Connect the upper transmission oil cooler hose to the radiator.
3. Install the lower radiator hose.
4. Install the battery tray.
5. Raise the vehicle. Refer to vehicle Lifting.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
