Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

TAIL LAMP ASSEMBLY AND /OR BACKUP, SIDEMARKER, STOP, TURN SIGNAL BULB REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the liftgate.




2. Remove the screws from the tail lamp.
3. Pull the tail lamp from the body.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the tail lamp.




5. Press the tabs to release the circuit board from the tail lamp.




6. Remove the circuit board from the tail lamp.
7. Remove the required bulbs from the sockets.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the required bulbs to the sockets, if removed.
2. Install the tail lamp circuit board to the tail lamp.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the tail lamp.




4. Align the tail lamp locking guide pins to the body.
5. Press the tail lamp into the locking guide pin holes.
6. Install the screws to the tail lamp.

Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

7. Close the liftgate.
