Auxiliary Air Distributor Duct Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the left rear quarter trim panel.
2. Remove the retainers from the mid upper air distribution duct.
3. Remove the mid upper air distribution duct from the C-pillar.
4. Remove the retainer from the lower air distribution duct.
5. Remove the lower air distribution duct from the C-pillar.
6. Remove the auxiliary mode actuator.
7. Remove the retainer and bolts from the middle air distribution duct.
8. Remove the middle air distribution duct from the auxiliary HVAC module assembly.
9. Remove the middle air distribution duct from the rear quarter.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the middle air distribution duct to the rear quarter.
2. Install the middle air distribution duct to the auxiliary HVAC module assembly.
3. Install the middle air distribution retainers.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
4. Install the middle air distribution duct bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
5. Install the auxiliary mode actuator.
6. Install the lower air distribution duct to the C-pillar.
7. Install retainer to secure the lower air distribution duct.
8. Install the mid upper air distribution duct to the C-pillar.
9. Install the retaining clips to the air duct system.
10. Install the left rear quarter trim panel.
