Second Row Center Console Latch Inoperative (Replace Latch)

2005 Chevrolet Uplander
2005 Pontiac Montana
2005 Saturn Relay
Condition
Some customers may comment that the second row center console lid will not latch.
Cause
The plastic latch may be weak after extensive usage.
Correction
Replace the latch with a new robust designed latch.
1. Open the console lid.
2. Remove the two phillips-head screws that retain the latch to the lid and remove the latch.
3. Install the new latch and tighten the two screws.
4. Close the console lid.
