Wiper Arm Replacement

Tools Required

J39637 Wiper Arm Puller

Removal Procedure




1. Open and support the hood.
2. Disconnect the washer hose from the front washer pump hose (5).
3. Remove the wiper arm nut cover (3).
4. Remove the wiper arm nut (4).




5. Using the J39637 , remove the wiper arm from the wiper drive system module.




6. Remove the wiper blade from the wiper arm connection.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the wiper blade onto the wiper arm.
2. Position the wiper arm onto the wiper arm pivot shaft.
3. Align the wiper blade tip to the horizontal mark on the windshield within the blackout area (a or b).






Notice: refer to Fastener Notice.

Important: Hold the wiper arm into position (1) while tightening the nut.

4. Install the wiper arm nut (4).

Tighten the nut to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

5. Install the wiper arm nut cover (3).
6. Connect the washer nozzle hose to the washer pump hose (5).
7. Close the hood.
8. Inspect the wipers for proper operation.
