- ECU Hardware Performance Calibration Data Set Not Programmed
Circuit/System Description
After replacement of the power steering control module (PSCM), the PSCM must be configured with the proper tuning profile using the service programming system (SPS).
Conditions for Running the DTC
The ignition is ON.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
This DTC will set if the PSCM has not undergone SPS reprogramming.
Actions Taken When DTC Sets
* DTC C056E 42 is stored in memory.
* The driver information center (DIC) displays the SERVICE POWER STEERING warning message.
* Steering assist is set to a default level.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* A current DTC will clear after the PSCM has been configured with the proper tuning profile.
* A history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles from when the PSCM has been configured with the proper tuning profile.

If DTC is set, program the PSCM. If DTC resets, replace the PSCM.
