Oil Pump Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the oil pump bolt.
3. Remove the oil pump and oil pump drive shaft.
4. Inspect the oil pump driveshaft at both ends for rounding of the corners.



Installation Procedure






Important: Rotate the oil pump driveshaft as necessary in order to obtain the engagement with the oil pump drive.


1. Install the oil pump and oil pump drive shaft.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the oil pump bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

3. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement (Service and Repair) .
