This bulletin is being revised to end the need for engineering information and provide feedback results. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 08-08-48-004A (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).

Windshield production has been transferred to a more automated production facility. GM believes this change allows for better handling of the windshield, reducing/preventing edge chips, which is the source of the stress riser resulting in the cracks. GM Engineering has seen a significant reduction in warranty since this change was implemented implemented.
