Stabilizer Shaft Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Lower the front suspension frame. Refer to Frame Replacement (LNJ) ([1][2]Frame Replacement)Frame Replacement (LY7) ([1][2]Frame Replacement).




3. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator bracket bolts.
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft assembly from the frame.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets.
3. Install the stabilizer shaft assembly to the frame.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

4. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator bracket bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
5. Install the front suspension frame. Refer to Frame Replacement (LNJ) ([1][2]Frame Replacement)Frame Replacement (LY7) ([1][2]Frame Replacement).
6. Lower the vehicle.
