Wire Wheel Covers - Rotating On Wheels

Subject: WIRE WHEEL COVERS ROTATING ON WHEEL(S) - 1982-1983 GRAND PRIX AND BONNEVILLES

The above mentioned vehicles equipped with 14" wire wheel covers may have a condition where one or more wire wheel covers may rotate on the wheel.

CLIP DESIGNS:

If this condition is encountered, inspect all four (4) wheel covers for the type of retention design. If they have the five (5) individual clip design (see View A in illustration shown on the reverse side), all the wheel covers must be replaced..

A new wire wheel cover with a continuous steel band (see View B in illustration shown on the reverse side) went into production on approximately January 1, 1983 and is available at WDDGM (part number 10023894)..

All old five (5) clip design wire wheel covers must be returned to: I.T.T. Thompson, 800 N. E. Livingston, Madison, Florida 32340, attention: Bill Adams.
