Audio - Radio Noise Upon Accelerating, Cruise OFF
Number85-9-1 Date 2/85
Subject: RADIO NOISE
1984-85 6000 WITH 2.5L ENGINE & CRUISE CONTROL
A condition of ignition noise occurring on the low end of the AM band
when accelerating with the cruise control not engaged could be due to
the servo-to-throttle cable being routed over the top of the
distributor and ignition wiring. To repair this condition, route the
servo-to-throttle cable away from the distributor and secondary
wiring. Use care that the cable retains a smooth even arc to prevent
binding and surge when the cruise control is engaged.
