A/T - 125C Engine Dies In Gear
TSB 86-56 (Nov)SUBJECT: 125 C
PROBLEM:
Kills engine when transmission is placed in gear, or when coming to a stop after transmission is warm.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
Partially restricted T.C.C. solenoid; auxiliary valve body gasket bad; cross leaks between auxiliary valve body and cover.
Note
Fluid entering solenoid at point "A" (shown in figure) should flow through and exhaust into sump when solenoid is not activated. If solenoid is unable to exhaust enough fluid, due to plugging, or excessive cross leaks, pressure will build in the passage. This pressure can move the converter clutch control application or failure to release when stopping.
Check solenoid for plugging, check gaskets for cross-leaks, check auxiliary valve body and cover for warpage.
