Carburetor Air Valve Spring Pin - Lubrication
Number 84-6 (Gasoline)-23 Date 3/84Subject: CHANGE OF RECOMMENDATION ON LUBRICATION OF AIR VALVE SPRING PIN ON E2SE CARBURETORS
During model year 1984, a sliding bushing was added to the air valve spring pin on certain model E2SE (Varajet) carburetors.. When servicing the models with the bushing, do not lubricate the bushing or pin.
However, when servicing models without the bushing, continue to apply lithium base grease liberally to the pin at the point of contact with the spring, as shown in illustration.
