Subject: DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER (D.I.C.) DISPLAY

1984/1985 6000 STE
CONDITION

The Driver Information Center (D.I.C.) displays an inoperative bulb condition when the bulb is actually good.

CAUSE

There may be several causes for the condition:

1) The original equipment (OEM) bulb was replaced with a bulb having a different current draw.
2) The D.I.C. memory has not been cleared.

CORRECTION

1) Turn the headlight switch "on" then "off" to clear the D.I.C. memory and display.
2) If the condition persists, check the bulb for a part number. Use of the following replacement bulb part numbers are suggested for use on the STE:

I. 1984 MODEL YEAR:

HEAD LIGHTS REAR LIGHTS
LOW BEAM HIGH BEAM TAIL LAMPS & STOP LAMPS

^ Front Park Lights
^ Front & Rear Side Marker Lights
^ Fog Lights


II. 1985 MODEL YEAR

1985 6000 STE bulb/lamp replacements are identical as above except for rear tail and rear stop quantities and rear turn part numbers.
