Luggage Carrier - Howling Noise Above 45MPH

Subject: LUGGAGE CARRIER NOISE - 1984 6000 STATION WAGON
The cross members of the luggage carrier on the 6000 station wagon can be installed incorrectly.



The correct installation is shown in the illustration.. The blunt side of the cross members should face forward.

If these are incorrectly installed, there is a possibility of a howling noise at speeds over 45 mph.
