A/T - 125/125C No Upshift - Governor Pipe Dislodged

COMPLAINT: No upshift
CAUSE: Governor pipe dislodged from case
During rebuild, always check both ends of governor pipe for tight fit in case. Leakage may cause late, or no upshift. (See figure 1)
If a no-shift condition exists, connect a pressure gauge to the governor pressure point (figure 2). Put transmission into "D", and accelerate with the drive wheels clear of floor -- or you can test on the street.
Governor pressure should rise no less than one psi for each M.P.H. If pressure does not come up, check governor pipe connection and governor.
