A/T - THM 125 No Second/Third Gear After Overhaul

SUBJECT: THM 125

PROBLEM:
1. No Second Gear after Overhaul
2. No Third Gear

CAUSE:

FOR PROBLEM # 1




The direct clutch accumulator cup plug is missing from case passage. (Fig. 1)

If this cup plug is missing, there will usually be 1-3 shifts in Drive AND D2 (Second)

FOR PROBLEM # 2




Bleed orifice cup plug missing from servo bore. (Fig.2)

The later 125C transmissions eliminated the use of this cup plug, and the casting is solid in this area.
