Engine - Spark Knock Condition

Sublect: SPARK KNOCK, COMMENTS - 1984 2.5L ENGINE


A customer comment of spark knock on the 2.5L engine may be received. If normal diagnosis in Section 6E2 of the Service Manual does not repair this condition, a new PROM may be installed, as listed below. This condition applies only to vehicles with automatic transmissions/transaxles.

Pontiac 6000 and Phoenix - Part Number 1226909 (also increases TCC engagement to 38 mph)
