1984 FIERO WITH 2.5L CAMPAIGN ENGINE (VIN CODE R)
Beginning April 21, 1988 replacement campaign engine kits shipped from the plant will include a new rubber O-ring, P/N 1979784, for the distributor.

Remove and discard the old O-ring and install the new O-ring onto the distributor. Coat the new O-ring with clean engine oil prior to installing the distributor into the engine.
