CODE 32, BARO SENSOR

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Code 32 says that the ECM has seen BARO pressure (measured in volts) too low at Term. "1" of the ECM.
The BARO sensor reacts like a MAP sensor; that is it measures highest voltage when barometric pressure is highest.

CHART DESCRIPTION
1. Checks voltage output from the BARO sensor at the ECM. Voltage normally falls within middle range on table by altitude.
2. Installing jumper between BARO sensor harness terminals "B" and "C" should result in a voltage reading of well over 2.5 volts at the ECM which would indicate that circuits "416" and "432" are OK.
3. Possible causes for voltage being low in test #2 are checked by reading voltage between BARO harness terminal "C" to "A". A voltage reading here of 4 to 6 volts would leave the possible causes to be, open CKT. 433, a poor connection at the ECM terminal "1" or a faulty ECM.
4. This test verifies the presence of reference voltage at BARO harness terminal "C".
