Metering Valve Sensor

1. With engine off, hold metering valve sensor assembly and carefully remove hole plug. Use caution to prevent sensor assembly from moving.
2. Using tool J-24182-2, or equivalent, turn adjustment screw clockwise to increase voltage reading, or counterclockwise to decrease reading. Turn adjustment screw in 1/8 turn increments. It may be necessary to file tool J-24182-2, to enable it to enter sensor assembly.
3. Install hole plug finger tight, then perform steps 7 through 11 of testing procedure. If voltages are not within chart specifications, readjust sensor as necessary.
4. Install hole plug using a new O-ring seal, then hold sensor assembly and torque hole plug to 30 inch lbs.
5. Connect sensor harness, start engine and check for fuel leaks.
6. Adjust idle speed to specifications, then install air crossover and air cleaner.
