A/T - 440T4 Revised Parts

In mid 1985, the 440-T4 transmission was revised, with a new valve body, channel plate and separator plate. To distinguish the new units, the model codes were revised, as follows:
1985 mid 1985 replacement
AC AF
AY AM
BC BR
BU BV
BX BW
CP CM
CW CN
HT HJ
The service manuals will cover these new units along with the early models. The exception is that the check ball locations have changed, as illustrated.
