Some vehicles may develop inoperative door lock cylinders. This may be characterized by difficulty inserting, extracting, and/or turning the key.

These lock cylinders can be restored with the use of a silicone lubricant (GM Part Number 1052276 or 1052277).

NOTE: Do not use any type of lubricant that contains chlorine on vehicles with a plastic cap around the lock cylinder as it may destroy the plastic.
