Program Intent /Responsibility
The purpose of dealer empowerment is to provide prompt, responsible, point of service decision making capability which results in quality service and a completely satisfied customer service experience. This empowerment program provides all GM Dealers with a determined level of responsibility to make decisions regarding payment of repairs. These decisions are typically in the form of dealer management approvals and claim authorizations for specific types of situations that typically involve additional costs and repairs outside the written time and/or mileage (kilometres) limits of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Empowered decisions must be supported with valid business reasons.
