Sunroof - Water Leaks Due to Hinge Deflection

1985-86 GRAND AM AND SUNBIRD MODELS
New vista vent (sunroof) hinges have been released for service on 1985 and 1986 Grand Am and Sunbird models.
The new hinges are available through WDDGM under part no. 20696950. The new hinges are made from hardened steel and are designed to give better performance and deflection characteristics to maintain proper seal to glass contact pressure.
When it is necessary to correct a water leak due to hinge deflection or when the vista vent seal is being replaced, it is recommended these new hinges be used.
Any sunroof glass in stock prior to this bulletin should have the new hinges installed before it is placed in service.
