A/C - Accessory Belt Noise, Poor Performance

Subject: LOOSE OR MISSING A/C COMPRESSOR BRACKET BOLTS
1985-86 SUNBIRD MODELS WITH 1.8L OHC ENGINE (VIN CODE J AND O)
If a vehicle is brought to the dealership with an A/C related customer comment (such as accessory belt noise or poor A/C performance), check for loose or missing A/C compressor bracket bolts, and correct belt tension.
It is recommended that an adhesive material (such as GM6193-M) be applied to the threads of the new bolts and any loose bolts being reinstalled. Torque all bolts to Service Manual specifications.
